Page Type Builder 2 Release Candidate

It’s been a long time coming and we haven’t really managed to fit everything into version two of Page Type Builder that I’d hoped, but it’s better to ship and get feedback then to never ship. So, I’m happy to announce the release candidate for Page Type Builder 2.

Compared to the second preview this release contains a few bug fixes that I won’t go into any detail about here. You’re welcome to check the issue tracker though. It also contains one major improvement in that properties that aren’t explicitly set in code and which have been given a value in admin mode are no longer overridden (sorry for taking so long Maria :)). As for what’s new compared to version 1.3/1.3.1 please see this and this previous post.

We’d really appreciate if as many as possible would download this release and try it out. As soon as we’re comfortable with its stability, or fix any reported bugs we’ll go for the stable release. It sure will be nice to move on from there. I’m never going to do a version 2/major release again. Continuous releases rule :-)

You can either grab the release from the Codeplex site or from EPiServer’s NuGet feed as soon as my package submissions are accepted. The release is technically versioned as 1.9.3. As usual, many thanks to Lee Crowe for his awesome work helping me with PTB when I’m off building search engines :)

PS. For updates about new posts, sites I find useful and the occasional rant you can follow me on Twitter. You are also most welcome to subscribe to the RSS-feed.
